2025 Fall Softball Registration

ENROLLMENT - FALL 2025 KGLRA SOFTBALL PROGRAM

Our girls youth tee-ball and softball league (4-12 years) is designed to teach fundamental skills and teamwork in a fun environment. Equal participation, sportsmanship, and teamwork is emphasized. No experience necessary. Division is determined by the player's age on September 30.

  • Practices are held during the week based on coaches preferences
  • Practices are held right here in the Little Neck community
  • Parents / guardians will have an opportunity to indicate preferred evenings and family/friend teaming requests upon registration
  • Participants must meet the age requirements to register in the league

KGLRA Softball Registration Costs includes: 
  • Individual: team jerseys and visor. 
  • Gear available to players: bats and practice balls. 
  • Gear available to assign to players for season: batting helmet.

SOFTBALL DIVISION BREAKDOWN DETAILS

Players turning the age of a division on or before Sept 30th of the current school year qualify to play in that division. Players can decide to "play up" if they turn the age of eligibility within the season of play. If you would like your child to "play up", please register for the division in which your child should play, then send an email to [email protected] to request "play up."

6U Tee-Ball (4-6 yrs) - FARMBALL
  • Practice 1 times per week (optional 2nd practice may be considered based on field availability)
  • Number of games: 8
  • Games are held on primarily on Saturdays (occasional Sunday)
  • Games are held at various VB Elementary School ball fields. 
  • Farmball Division is organized by amongst various Virginia Beach Community Recreation Associations

8U Coach Pitch (7-8 yrs) - FARMBALL
  • Coach Pitch
  • Practice 1-2 times per week 
  • Number of games: 8
  • Games are held on on Saturdays, with occasional Friday and/or Sunday games
  • Games are held at various VB Elementary School ball fields & city parks ball fields
  • Farmball Division is organized by amongst various Virginia Beach Community Recreation Associations

10U Fast Pitch (9-10 yrs) - FARMBALL
  • Fast-Pitch
  • Practice 2 times per week
  • Number of games: 8
  • Games are held primarily on Saturdays, with occasional Friday and/or Sunday games
  • Games are held at various VB Elementary School ball fields. 
  • Games are held at various VB Elementary School ball fields & city parks ball fields
  • Farmball Division is organized by amongst various Virginia Beach Community Recreation Associations

12U Pre-teen Fast Pitch (11-12 yrs) - VB PARKS & REC YOUTH SPORTS
  • Fast-Pitch
  • Practice 2 times per week
  • Optional Postseason Tournament Games
  • Games are held during primarily during the week at the Princess Anne Athletics Complex (PAAC)
  • Division games are scheduled by, and as a part of the Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation youth league program

14U Teen Fast Pitch (13-14 yrs) - VB PARKS & REC YOUTH SPORTS
  • Fast-Pitch
  • Practice 2 times per week
  • Optional Postseason Tournament Games
  • Games are held during primarily during the week at the Princess Anne Athletics Complex (PAAC)

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

KGLRA is driven completely by volunteers and without them, we cannot offer our sports programs nor provide girls softball right here in our community.

  • Coaches (head & assistant) -- No Experience Necessary
  • Social Media & Community Events Coordinator (part of Softball Executive Committee)
  • Scorekeeper / Team Parents 
  • Softball Clinic Volunteer, 1-Day Event (AUG 2025)

All Volunteers must submit to a background check. Please send email to [email protected] if interested in any of our volunteer opportunities. KGLRA Softball Committee has built our Softball Coaches Corner to support you and will offer a Coaches and Scorebook Clinic to assist our coaches and team parents (scorekeepers) willing to support our girls! 

Lastly, please do not wait to sign up! If you know your child wants to play, secure your spot for the Fall 2025 Season and register NOW so that we can allocate teams and get volunteers in place and ready to go for when the season starts. KGLRA Softball Seasons:


Spring season runs: March through June

  • Registration runs January through March

  • Teams formed and field allocations March

  • Games begin mid-April through first week of June

  • Playoffs second week in June (before school ends)


Fall season runs - September through November 

  • Registration runs May through August 

  • Teams formed and field allocations early/mid August

  • Games begin mid-September through November

  • Playoffs upon end of season
